OUR STORY
A Call to join in soul winning "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." Proverbs 11:30, NASB
Nestled within the heart of Kapata village in Samfya is a community that has been deeply affected by extreme poverty, hopelessness, and spiritual desolation. The fishermen who make up the core of this community have been caught in a cycle of alcoholism that has permeated the village. Overwhelmed by the dire living conditions of the villagers and the pressing need for spiritual guidance and empowerment, Village Outreach missions was born.
Our primary goal through the Village Outreach missions is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to the villages and bring them closer to God. Through our outreach efforts, we aim to share the love of Christ and provide spiritual guidance that can help transform lives. Additionally, we recognize that the community is in need of practical support as well. Thus, we aim to provide a holistic approach to empower the community and break the cycle of poverty and early child marriages. Through education and training in basic life skills, we aim to restore hope and transformation in the lives of the villagers.
Surrounded by the tranquil waters of Lake Bangweulu, Kampolombo River, and Kangwena River, the humble villages are in dire need of a message of salvation.
Our team is dedicated to providing this message through the demonstration of God’s love in practical ways. Whether through providing food and water, building homes, or meeting other essential basic needs, we aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we are serving.
In addition to these efforts, we also believe that education and training in basic life skills are essential for empowering individuals to transform their own lives. Our Village Outreach team is currently with the help of Sr. Karlene Chambers one of our team members, we are building an orphanage to help provide a home to many orphans.
Through all of our efforts, we strive to create a lasting and sustainable impact in the lives of those we serve. By empowering individuals and fostering a sense of community, we hope to see the Village Outreach missions continue to grow and reach even more individuals in need.
